VELOCITIES

VELOCITIES'

The following velocities maps are been obtained from a monthly elaboration of "FReDNet" and "A. Marussi" data. In order to calculate velocities are been used two different reference frames:

- International Reference Frame (ITRF00): is the most recent and accurate realization of the International Earth Rotation Service (IERS). It is a non-inertial reference system rigidly fixed to th Earth, the origin of the XYZ Cartesian system is the Earth's center of mass; the Z-axes passes through the North pole, the X- and Y-axes lie on the equatorial plane.

- European Reference Frame of McClusky: it is an Eurasian reference frame determined by setting the "a priori" velocities of the 14 European station to 0 and two Asian stations to a specific value. The solution is stabilized for a set of 14 stations that are considered not to be moving.
